This is a rough day random rant. I cannot stand texting. First off, the telcos rip you off. $20 extra dollars per month for unlimted texting or 10 -20 cents per message. If it’s 10 cents per message than a half ass conversation is 20 cents. This is bullshit for 160 characters. I pay $30 for unlimited data plan but this does not include texting. If you go over 160 with a message that is 180 characters than they will break up the message into two text messages to make more money. This happens when you send a message to a different provider. Verizon to AT&T. When you do AT&T to AT&T I think the messages stay intact. Text messaging is all profit for telcos.
The most annoying thing about texting is that conversations get lost in translation. Meaning, you send a text message and the person on the receiving end doesn’t undestand your tone or meaning. It is very tough to communicate in less than 160 characters which is why email is so much better.
